Lately I've been leaning in again towards black and white images. What can I say, it happens. They are certainly period correct for WWII warbirds. However, I believe some photos work better as black and white than others. In this, there is nothing I can point my finger and say, "this is why it should be black and white and not color". To me, it is nothing concrete, it's the way the image "speaks to me", it's a feeling I get. The monochrome approach does add a vintage quality but don't let that fool you, these photos are edgy and unique in their composition and have a modern vibe. Today's photo editing of digital images creates possibilities like never before with old film cameras. I like to think it's an intriguing mix of old with the new. This warbird is the North American P-51D "Speedball Alice". Thanks for reading and enjoy the photo!
