Happy February readers!
I first want to give you an update. With the weather cooperating at times I have been able to get out to take some test shots with my new equipment. I'm glad to report, so far so good! I can't wait to give it a thorough days work at an airshow. And speaking of airshows, I'm looking forward to the Oregon International Airshow in early May. For me, it is the first show of the season. So look to this space for some next level photos.
Now, on to the topic at hand. This blog post features another one of my black and white images. The aircraft is a Boeing B-47 'Stratojet'. It is one of my original monochrome images and a personal favorite. I love the contrast and the terrific detail on the fuselage. The aircraft was located at the Pima Air Museum. The photo was taken late in the day and before the museum grayed out all the cockpit windows on their outside aircraft displays to help protect the interior from the harsh Arizona sun. The clouds are striking and the light couldn't be better for a dramatic shot. You can find this image in the Monochrome Catalog. I'll very likely be doing more black and white so keep checking the blog for the next one.
Talley ho!
