Hey there and welcome back!
Well, air show season has wrapped up for this year and now is the time for me to start digging into all of my photos that I bypassed earlier in the year (for whatever reason) and find one to showcase. I also looked back at ALL of my blog posts over the last four years to see if I had ever posted an F-35 image and the answer was no. I did however post a nice F-35 image on my LinkedIn page showing a pass of the underside of the jet with the bay doors wide open. Check it out if you get a chance. Trust me when I say, there was LOTS of plumbing seen! So, to rectify the lack of an F-35 on this blog page, this post features a Lockheed Martin F-35 "Lighting II". The aircraft is seen climbing into a late spring, patchy blue sky. I call this image, "Out of the Blue". I would've loved to have it with full afterburner but, what can I say. I wasn't flying the plane and if I was I wouldn't have gotten this photo. The photo was taken at the Hillsboro, OR air show, which by the way is one of my top 3 airshows. It's usually held in May and I encourage you to go if you ever get the chance. You won't be disappointed.
I have a few other F-35 shots waiting in the wings that I might post in the future so be sure to keep coming back. In fact, the first person who sees me post another F-35 image in my blog and messages me it's the second F-35 post, I will send you a FREE metal print of that photo.
As always, I appreciate all of you who read this blog and hope you get something from it.
Keep'em flying!
Steve
