Sentimental Journey
Sentimental Journey is a Boeing B-17G, built by Douglas Aircraft under license in late 1944. It was accepted by the U.S. Army Air Forces on March 13, 1945 and was assigned to the Pacific Theater for the duration of the war. A total of 8,680 B-17G models were produced through 1945. The aircraft is distinctive having a "pin up" image of actress Betty Grable on its nose. The aircraft is displaying unit markings of the 457th Bomb Group of the Mighty 8th Air Force in Europe.
