Thanks for reading this release of my blog. In today's post, I want to announce I have just released a new image to my page and I am very excited about it. It is a General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon in a stunning wide format print. In this image I chose to follow the 'less is more' approach and honestly, I like it for this particular photo. The large amount of blue sky in front of the aircraft evokes a feeling of openness and an uncertainty of the unknown ahead. The 2 to 1 aspect ratio really makes the image stretch and allows more time for the eye to take in the breadth of the photo.
This USAF F-16 is wearing the original red, white and blue paint scheme used for the YF-16 prototype from 1974. The occasion is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this incredible fighter jet. The F-16 has been used by the USAF Thunderbird demonstration team since 1982 and has been been in service for nearly 50 years, being used by 25 different countries. Since its introduction the F-16 has become one of the most widely used and versatile fighter aircraft in the world. What an incredible testament to the original design. The title of this image is "Top Cover".
