This photo was taken at the Kenmore Air seaplane base (LKE) in Kenmore, WA.  The "Beaver" was developed and manufactured by de Havilland, Canada.  These aircraft have been primarily operated as bush planes and also used for a wide variety of utility roles such as; cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application, and civil aviation duties. The Beaver has been widely adopted by armed forces as a utility airplane.  Some DHC-2s are still in service with the US Army and Civil Air Patrol.  From 1947-1967 over 1,600 of the type were manufactured.  The U-6A variant is the re-designated STOL utility transport aircraft built for the US Army, the L-20B.  Add a slim, black floating frame to really set off this image. The Optional Frame

Frames are available only in satin black and are made of solid wood. The frame is approximately 1.5 inch deep allowing for your 1 inch thick canvas to appear to float within the frame. The thickness of the frame is narrow and finishes the image nicely.
