"Sleeping Tiger" - Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
"Sleeping Tiger" - Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
This beautiful P-40E wears the U.S. national military insignia of the star inside a blue circle which was superseded on 15 May 1942. The 'E' model is very similar to the 'D' model except for a slightly more powerful engine and six .50 cal guns in lieu of four. Add a slim, black floating frame to really set off this image. Your satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed and shipping is free!
"The P-40 could engage all Messerschmidt aircraft on equal terms, almost to the end of 1943. If you take into consideration all the characteristics of the P-40, then the Tomahawk was equal to the Bf 109F and the Kittyhawk was slightly better. Its speed, vertical and horizontal maneuver, were good and fully competitive with enemy aircraft. We considered the P-40 a decent fighter plane."

Even though the canvas has UV
protection it is always best to keep a photographic work out of direct sunlight. Doing so will help retain the best color possible over the years.
