"Whistling Death" - Chance Vought F4U-1A Corsair
This gritty black and white image of an F4U-1A Corsair is called "Whistling Death". I like to call this view the business end. The Corsair is one of the most iconic fighters of WWII. With its bent 'gull wing' to accommodate its 13 foot propeller, the aircraft was very recognizable. This particular aircraft, built in mid-1943, is one of the oldest F4Us still flying. This specific aircraft saw combat service in the Pacific Theater, in part, with the famed VMF-214 "Black Sheep" squadron commanded by Pappy Boyington. The vintage grainy, black and white image lends a timeless look. Add a slim, black floating frame to really set off this image. Your satisfaction is absolutely guaranteed and shipping is free!

Care Instructions
Even though the canvas has UV
protection it is always best to keep a photographic work out of direct sunlight. Doing so will help retain the best color possible over the years.

Frames are available only in satin black and are made of solid wood. The frame is approximately 1.5 inch deep allowing for your 1 inch thick canvas to appear to float within the frame. The thickness of the frame is narrow and finishes the image nicely.
